Company
THEMA SYSTEM was born in 1986 in the tannery center of Santa Croce S/ A in the province of Pisa. At the beginning it was a small company made of few people but very motivated. Over time the company has grown with innovative projects, growing resources and increasingly qualified staff.
In 2010 THEMA expanded its production by acquiring the company DAS COMAR, one of the most important mechanical companies specialized in the design and manufacture of machines for finishing hides.

Research and development
Thema System has designed and developed a cutting-edge research centre with all the latest technologies used in the tanning industry. The machines are available to carry out any type of test directly on the customer’s materials, as well as to perform small productions, so that you can experience the quality and versatility of the machines themselves. Every day, testing and working with different types of leather, it is possible to define guidelines that, together with customer feedback, will allow the machines to be improved and perfected.
THEMA has a pilot plant for conditioning hides on models of real production while DAS COMAR has made available to the research centre the APPLICART Evo machine and the NIAGARA curtain coating machine.
